GMS Firmly Plant their Black Country Roots with New Director
Security specialist GMS Group has further marked its return home with the appointment of a new non-executive director.
The Group’s board has officially welcomed business leader and international author David Rogers to the fold, who will bring valuable insight and experience to the Group’s business development strategy in its next phase of growth.
A fellow Black Country local like Group CEO Neil Male, David’s career is centred in the food and beverage industry. Following an illustrious 13 years with Mitchells and Butlers, David is currently Head of Finance for Marston’s PLC, as well as the CEC Lead Enterprise Advisor at The Black Country Careers Hub, where he supports local schools with their career development strategies. He is also an advocate for community projects and is currently a Board Trustee for the Hope Community Project, providing outreach services to vulnerable residents.
Aside from a successful career in business, David is also the author of international bestseller Fuelled, Fit and Fired Up, inspired by his desire to help others improve their personal and professional lives through health, fitness, and wellbeing.
CEO Neil Male welcomed the opportunity to work with David. Neil said “David’s appointment follows a landmark month for the Group, following its recent relocation to the Warrens Hall Riding School in Tividale and successful bid to become Dudley College’s official security partner.”
David Rogers added “Being proud of my own roots in the Black Country, it was an easy decision to join the GMS Group Board following their return to the area. I look forward to working with Neil and the team, and help them deliver an exciting business development strategy over the coming years.”
