High performing GMS Group named finalist for prestigious award for partnership with CEMEX UK

Leading security specialist GMS Group has been named as a finalist for a prestigious award for the impact of its partnership with top building materials supplier CEMEX UK.

GMS and CEMEX UK made the list of finalists for the Security Partnering Initiative of the Year prize for their joint working at the 2022 Security & Fire Excellence Awards, announced at the Park Lane Hilton in London last night (Wednesday 23rd November).

Now in their twenty third year, Security & Fire Excellence Awards are organised to celebrate “the very best people, projects and processes that the security and fire sectors have to offer”. The Security Partnering Initiative of the Year honoured “the security organisation or individual that has demonstrated the most success in working cohesively with security vendors, security guarding companies, security installers, integrators and/or consultants”.

To make the shortlist, GMS and CEMEX UK had to demonstrate a clear partnering strategy in their relationship since it was formed in 2018, along with details of how they worked to achieve common interests, the implementation of an effective and cohesive team, along with information on processes used to standardise quality of service, streamline decision-making and realise efficiencies.
